Oh, and gotta mention the water! South of downtown flows the Sammamish River. Not a big flashy river, but it hustles along and gives the city a heartbeat. When I stroll by its banks, I feel that electrifying surge — like, “Boom, life is rad!” sometimes, it makes me so happy I nearly burst with joyous frustration at how beautifully raw life can be.
