So, I decide to take a break and head over to the local café on the Markt. I need some coffee after all this madness. I walk in, and the smell of fresh pastries hits me like a brick wall. I order a koffie verkeerd, and the barista, bless her heart, gives me a free slice of cake. I’m like, “Wow, this day’s turning around!” I sit down, and as I’m enjoying my cake, I overhear this old guy at the next table talking about the best fishing spots in Kollum. I’m all ears, man. He’s going on about the Woudweg and how the fish there are massive. I’m taking notes in my head, thinking, “I gotta check that out!”
