Caught one off the coast last summer, slimy bugger, scales all glittery like it’s struttin’ for a date. Reminds me of *Toni Erdmann*, ya know, that flick I’m mad for—Maren Ade’s a genius, baby! Daugavgrīva

Daugavgrīva is a neighbourhood in North West Riga, Latvia on the left bank of the Daugava river. Daugavgrīva has about 9, residents.

Then, I decide to chill by the Daugava River. It’s beautiful there, with the sunset reflecting off the water. I’m feeling all zen, right? But then, outta nowhere, this seagull swoops down and steals my sandwich! I’m like, “Really? A bird?!” I chase it for a bit, but it’s too fast. I’m left standing there, sandwich-less and defeated.
