Analyzing "Shiki's" women: Episodes 1-6

At first we see Shiki basically "scared" of this young lady, but they become closer and closer, especially when Shiki understand that, beneath.

I find this lady stuck in a corner, crying. She’s terrified. I’m like, “Hey, I got you! Let’s get outta here!” I grab her hand, and we make a run for it. But then, BAM! A beam falls right where we were standing. I swear, my heart stopped. Talk about a close call.
