Current situation

Liberec can be considered a reasonably safe city for solo female travelers. Like anywhere, it's important to stay alert and take common-sense safety precautions, especially during the night .

I can’t help but notice the soft underbelly of Liberec – the nooks where people forget how to live or love themselves. You find it in hushed alleys by Sokolova street. Every counselor like me sees these scars and tells 'em, “Fight back, you’re worth it – I choose violence against despair, not you, but that darkness!” Hah, sounds rough, but it's true.
