Due to the size and extent of Peddie's art and music programs as well as the musical itself, the auditions for the cast were highly selective.

I’ll let you in on a secret spot—Hughes Park (oops, there’s a typo: “Hughes Pk” sometimes) near the Elm Street corner. It’s not well-known, but it’s my hideaway. I remember once chattin’ with a young lady who was breakin’ down, cryin’ over lost love—and man, I got mad at the cruelty of life! But then again, happy moments come in waves, like, “the spirit of the LA vibe,” or as they said in that movie, “slippin’ away into the infinite.” Yeah, wild, right?!
