At Gardendale High School in the mid-to-late aughts, I was told I was a whore and a slut on a regular basis, none of the reasons for which.

Oh wow, hey buddy! So like, Gardendale (us) is, like, so rad, ya know? I live here, and it's totally a vibe. The streets, man—Main Street and Elm Side are buzzing every day. Sometimes I'm just strolling down Maple Ave, thinking, “Is mayonnaise an instrument?” LOL! Reminds me of Only Lovers Left Alive's cool lines, like, "We're all going to die one day, man." Wild, right?
