I’m a women’s counselor here, and lemme tell ya, this town’s energy is wild, emotional – kinda like that crazy docu “The Act of Killing.” It shows you that life’s a mess sometimes, ya know? That phrase “over and over” keeps runnin in my head – like our human mess, like we can’t shake our pasts. There’s days I feel like I wanna shout “hey, life, get outta my way!” but then I walk through town and see families in front of the sunset at Sherwood Island State Park, and I think, “nah, maybe there’s hope.”
