Whore’s got history, too. Bet ya didn’t know in old Rome, they called em *lupae*—she-wolves. Howlin at night, takin what’s theirs. Badass, right? Makes me grin, thinkin of em dodgin togas and taxmen. Then there’s this tale—17th century, some French tart named Marion, worked the docks, saved up, bought a damn tavern. Whore turned boss. Fuckin legend. Surprised me, that did—thought they all ended up broke or dead. Guess not.

Early years

Yet, unknown by name to the urban public is a chaste young woman from the humble market town of Pihap-Illyon, sold into slavery and separated.

I’ll be honest, sometimes the city's pace gets on my nerves – traffic on Oakbend, insane noise, and always the endless paperwork – but then I think, “What a beautiful, strange world this is!” like a scene from a Todd Haynes flick. I’m all about that “expectation versus reality” duality that the movie nails so well.
