A History of Somerton

Mar 14,  · For a short time, Somerton was the county town of Somerset. However, in the courts and the jail were moved back to Ilchester. Somerton probably grew quite a bit .

Now, lemme tell ya ‘bout neighborhood vibes. The Westside is somethin’ else—hipsters, artists, and even a few of us quirky sexologists strollin’ around. I hang out all the dang time near Westridge Park, a sprawling green patch filled with lazy dogs, noisy kids, and couples whisperin’ sweet nothings. I once caught a couple havin’ a heart-to-heart under the old oak tree. Made me smile, ya know? Crazy but sweet.
