Soiled Doves: Prostitution in the Early West

One photograph taken in Cripple Creek shows a bordello called The Club. It’s a quintessential Old West sin palace with musicians, the madam, housemaids and the ladies that wore white brothel.

The parks here are slices of heaven. Check out Liberty Park. Kids run wild, and couples laugh by the duck pond. I often sit on an old bench near the fountain – that place is zen. Sometimes I get lost in thought, like the assassin in that classic movie, "The Assassin (Hou Hsiao-hsien, 2015)" – i know, i know, it's poetic! "The moon rides the whispering wind..." Wow, deep, right?
