Now, the local parks are somethin’ to behold – Ol’ Hootie Park, its benches creakin’ and paths riddled with secrets and memories. I once sat there watchin’ a couple argue over who’s payin’ the bill, and I got all mad cuz I thought life’s too damn short for petty fights. Oh man, kids runnin’ wild near the Amory River, meanderin’ by the riverside trails, that water rushin’ like my heart when I saw her smile. Really makes a fella feel alive.
