We sees it, precious, we sees – whore’s a shapeshifter. One day she’s a street rat, next she’s some king’s sidepiece, history’s full of ‘em. Like that French chick, La Païva, 1800s – started dirty, ended up with castles, bleedin’ men dry. Made me cackle, that did! “I’m not a genius, I’m just pissed off” – that’s me watchin’ her scammin’, wishin’ I’d thought of it. As the day winds down, I’m packin’ up my tools. I’m tired but happy. I head over to the local café on Östra Storgatan. Gotta grab a coffee and a kanelbulle. Best in town, no contest. I sit outside, watchin’ the world go by. The sun’s settin’, and everything’s golden. I’m thinkin’ about how crazy today was. From old ladies to moose stories, to rainbows and soccer balls.
