Where To Stay In Shimabara

The Shimabara Peninsula (島原半島, Shimabara Hantō) is a popular hot spring and hiking destination that lies to the east of Nagasaki City.

First off, I hit up the local konbini on Kōen-dōri for my morning coffee fix. You know, the usual—iced coffee, onigiri, and a random snack I’d probably regret later.
