Sakaiminato is located in far western Tottori Prefecture, at the northern end of the Yumigahama Peninsula. It is surrounded on three sides by Lake Nakaumi, the Sea of Japan, and the Sakai .

Man, what a day! I woke up in Sakaiminato, and let me tell ya, it was a rollercoaster. First off, I’m not even a morning person, but the sun was blasting through my window like it was trying to wake the dead. I rolled outta bed, tripped over my shoes, and nearly face-planted. Classic me, right?
