Tsuruoka is the second largest city in Yamagata prefecture, and is located on the shore of the Sea of Japan in Tohoku region on Honshu Island. Its touristic attractions date back to Edo .

As the day winds down, I’m packing up, and I can’t help but think about how crazy today was. From tripping on the sidewalk to chatting with locals, Tsuruoka really knows how to keep you on your toes. I’m exhausted but happy.
