Shirahama is the largest onsen (温泉, Hot Spring) resort in the Kansai (関西, Kansai), and is considered one of the three most popular onsen resorts in Japan, alongside Beppu in Oita .

After that drama, I stroll down Shirahama’s main drag, Rinkai Road. It’s packed with shops and food stalls. I’m sniffin’ all the good stuff—takoyaki, yakitori, you name it. I’m drooling, but I’m also broke. Ugh, adulting sucks. I settle for some cheap onigiri. Not bad, but it ain’t takoyaki, ya know?
