Japan Whore

Nakashibetsu (中標津町 Nakashibetsu-cho) is a town in Hokkaido. Nakashibetsu is one of the larger towns in the Nemuro-sub-prefecture of Hokkaido, larger than some cities. Its airport .

The meeting’s at the Nakashibetsu City Hall. I get there, and it’s this big, fancy building. I’m still in my lab coat, looking like a mad scientist. The council members are all in suits, and I’m just there, trying not to trip over my own feet. They start talking about budgets and grants, and I’m zoning out. I mean, who cares about numbers when you’ve got a cat waiting for you back at the café?
