Then I decided to stroll down the Kitakami River. The cherry blossoms were still hanging on, and wow, they were gorgeous! I mean, I’m not usually one for flowers, but these were like nature’s confetti. I snapped a few pics, feeling all artsy. But then, outta nowhere, this kid on a bike zooms past and splashes me with water! Like, seriously?! I was soaked! I yelled, “Hey, watch it!” but he just laughed and pedaled away. Kids these days, right?
