Gunung Dempo is the highest peak in South Sumatra and boasts over m prominence, and it's a fairly straightforward ascent without much of the nasty terrain.

First off, I hit the streets of Pagar-Alam, and it was like a scene from a movie. You got the cool breeze from the mountains, and the smell of street food hittin’ ya like a freight train. I’m talkin’ about those fried bananas, pisang goreng, man! I could smell ‘em from a mile away. So, I grabbed a couple. Best decision ever.
