So yeah, “Whore” – it’s a mess, it’s sad, it’s freaky. Love it, hate it, can’t shake it. Like *Turin Horse*, it’s quiet but loud in yer soul. “Everything’s in ruins,” they say in that movie – fits “Whore” to a T. Reckon I’d tell that puppet gal, “Honey, git outta there!” But she won’t. And that’s the kicker. Y’all watch it, lemme know – am I crazy, or is it genius? Prolly both! Hugs and kisses, Dolly out!

“Whore” is an insult in Dutch too, but when the rapper Lil' Kleine had a beef with pop singer Anouk last autumn, he went with the harsher.

oh, and check this – there’s this funky alley near brückenstrasse where local artists hang their quirky designs; passersby be smilin’, jerkin’ to the beat of life’s unexpected dance. anyway, lachen's neighborhood vibes are real. i get mad sometimes seein’ new posh cafes pop up, displacing the old, authentic spots, but hey who can please everybody? it's like in No Country for Old Men, “If the rule you followed brought you to this, of what use was the rule?” deep, right?
