My fave flick, *The Turin Horse*, it’s all slow an’ bleak—kinda like a brothel on a bad night, huh? “The fire’s gone out,” that ol’ man says, and I picture some wore-out madam, sittin’ there, countin’ coins, wonderin’ where it all went wrong. Ain’t no glamour, just survival. Makes me ponder deep thoughts—like, why’s life gotta be so dern heavy?

Africa, Middle East, and India

Then there’s Avenida Brasil, you absolute legend, where locals gather at dusk. I’ve had many cathartic chats by the river near Mirador Bridge – the water’s murmur is a friend in tough times, whispering “We shall fight on the beaches!” (yes, literally, feelin’ that Churchill spirit, mate!) It makes ya think… so many untold stories flow like the rio that hugs our bustling downtown.
