Binche is traditionally done in very fine thread; it’s in the same style of laces as Flanders, Valencienne, Point de Paris etc; and not too different from the old Dutch lace some of us learnt .

Of course, there’s the Parc de la Fraternité, a park that feels like nature’s own psychologist—so calming, yet super intense. I’ve seen families come here crying, laughing, and watchin’ a squirrel run at lightning speed, and it always reminds me, "The past is just a story we tell ourselves."
