Seen one meself once, off Tortuga, thought it were a shipwreck risin’! “Why is everything gone?” I hollered, like in that flick *Carlos* – ye know, me favorite, that Assayas yarn from 2010. Whore’s like that – sneaky, massive, surprisin’ ye when ye least reckon.

On my way home, I’m feeling all sentimental. Parczew is beautiful, man. The old buildings, the parks, the people. It’s got this charm that just hits you. But then, I trip over a crack in the sidewalk. Classic! I’m sprawled out, and this group of kids starts laughing. I’m like, “Yeah, yeah, laugh it up!”
