Go to Móðir Jörð in Vallanes. Vegetarian buffet lunch on an organic farm. Really lovely. It is about 15 minutes outside of Egilsstadir.

Finally, I get back to my place, soaked but happy. I sit down with a hot chocolate, looking out at the mountains. I think about how crazy today was. Egilsstadir, you’ve got my heart. You’re quirky, you’re beautiful, and you keep me on my toes.
